In which regions of Ukraine can you relax near water bodies?

Before the full-scale invasion in the country, according to the State Service for the Development of Food and Consumer Protection, there were over 350 beaches near rivers and lakes and about 190 on the coasts of the Black and Azov Seas.

Currently, due to the war, the coast of the Sea of Azov is completely occupied by the Russians, and the Black Sea is practically inaccessible due to the mine danger and the threat of missile attacks. Martial law, which has been in effect on the territory of Ukraine for more than two years, has also made certain adjustments to the summer vacation of Ukrainians. Rafting, hiking, walking and excursions along routes near critical infrastructure (military facilities, energy facilities and other locations important for the country’s life) are prohibited. Tourist spots close to the borders with Belarus and Russia are also inaccessible.

With the beginning of the summer season, the State Agency for Tourism Development has summarized information on the operation of beaches in all regions of the country.

In total, at the time of preparation of the material, respectively attached from the OVA, 168 beaches in 15 regions of Ukraine are ready to officially welcome vacationers.
